This check-in & be-out ticket app builds trust
Challenge
Being on the move is a unique context for app use. Users only have a fraction of their attention span available to view a mobility app, unlike when they are sitting on the couch. Our client FAIRTIQ wanted to challenge their internal views with a design review of their public transport ticketing app.
Outcome
By focusing on four of our mobility app design principles, we created a design with character. A newly introduced paper ticket analogy shows the purpose of the ticketing app and highlights the unique Slide-to-Start feature. Since the use of hamburger menus detracts from discoverability, we replaced them with a tabbed navigation to provide an at-a-glance overview of all functionality.
